To maintain secure and accurate application and financial aid processes, ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ applicants and current students may be required to confirm their identity through IvyID — ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ’s identity verification system. During this process, students will be asked to provide a valid driver's license or state issued photo ID, as well as a selfie to validate their identity. Please note, passports are not accepted.
Students who apply to ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ on or after Monday, June 9, 2025 will complete this step as part of the application process. Once you submit your application for admission, you’ll receive email instructions detailing the steps to verify your identity. Your application to ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ will not move forward until this step is complete.
Students who applied before Monday, June 9, 2025, including those currently enrolled, will complete their IvyID verification . If you receive a request to verify your identity and do not complete the process, you will be removed from your classes and will not receive financial aid until ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ can verify your identity. Additionally, you won’t be able to register for classes for future terms until this process is complete
Once your documents are submitted, you will receive a response via email. If you are a new applicant, this will be sent to the email address used in your application. If you are a current student, the message will go to your ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ email. This response may take up to 24 to 48 hours. In some cases, you may be notified that your upload could not be verified. This may be due to one of the following reasons:
ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ requires all students applying to the college using the general application or guest student application to validate their identity. This is a measure to keep students’ applications and financial aid details safe and secure.
Beginning June 9, new applicants will receive identity verification requests through their personal email address. Students who are currently enrolled or who applied before June 9 will continue to receive these requests through their ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ email.
We will always provide a secure and specific method for you to respond. If you’re ever unsure, you can contact the Enrollment Center or Financial Aid office at your local ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ campus to confirm that the request is legitimate.
Students who applied on or after June 9, 2025:
We recommend completing your verification within two weeks of submitting your application. You will no longer be able to verify your identity if we are no longer accepting applications for the term you are applying for, or if you reach the maximum number of verification attempts allowed. In either case, we invite you to contact the Enrollment Center at your local ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ campus to learn about your options.
Students who applied before June 9, 2025:
If it is more than one week before the start of the semester, you have a total of seven days to verify your identity.
If you receive your notification during the week before classes begin, you have a total of 48 hours to verify your identity.
Please note: these time frames represent your total time to complete the process and do not reset with each attempt.
If you are a new applicant applying to ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ on or after June 9, 2025, your application will not be reviewed and will remain in a pending state until you complete your verification.
As a current or newly enrolled student, you will be removed from your classes and will not receive financial aid if you do not complete verification. Additionally, you won’t be able to register for classes for future terms until this process is complete.
