Tuition + Program-Specific Fees

The Aviation Technology program will pay off for your future, but it is important to know that the program has some additional fees outside of tuition, which is noted in the degree comparison table at the top of this page.

In addition to tuition, each of the Aviation Technology programs require the following fees:

• Associate Degree – $75,339.00
  Includes fees related toÌýflight training for a private pilot certificate, instrument rating, and commercial (single engine land) certificate.Ìý

• Technical Certificate (TC) – $36,131.50
  Includes fees related to flight training for a private pilot certificate and instrument rating.

Applying to ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ is Free & Easy

The ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ application is free and easy—you don’t need a certain test score, GPA, or class rank to get started at ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ. Applying takes about 10-15 minutes and can be completed entirely online.

No Application Deadlines

ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ does not have a deadline for admission. Our eight-week class sessions start throughout the year—in January, March, June, August, and October—and there is no hard deadline for applying for any of the start dates. It's important, though, to apply early enough that you'll be able to complete all the degree planning, financial aid, and registration activities that need to happen before your first day. We recommend you apply about one month before you intend to start classes. See upcoming start dates

Steps to Apply

(1) Apply to ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ

If you’ve never applied to ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ before (or if it’s beenÌýtwo years since you last attended classes here), your first step is to apply to ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ. You can apply online or in person. To apply in person, reach out toÌýyour local admissions teamÌýand arrange a meeting. Or, stop by any campus on any Tuesday forÌýTuesdays@TheTechÌýto receive personal assistance with applying and registering for classes.

(2) Submit Assessment Documents

After you submit your application, you'll be asked to upload documentation—such as SAT/ACT/PSAT scores or high school and college transcripts—that can assess your readiness for college-level coursework and help us make sure you are taking classes that are the right fit for you. If you don't have your scores or transcripts at your fingertips, don’t worry. Go ahead and submit your application. You can go back to at any time until the end of the term for which you applied.

(3) Look for a Confirmation Email

Once your application is processed, you will receive a confirmation email at the email address provided on your application. Typically the email will arrive within 1-2 business days of submission, but during peak processing periods (April-June) could take up to 5-10 business days.

The email will contain instructions on how to register for classes, as well as important information regarding your ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ student portal (), tuition, payment options, and more.

(4) Create an Account in MyIvy

MyIvy is ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ's online student portal. Students use MyIvy to check e-mail, register for classes, pay tuition, manage financial aid, get the latest news and announcements, and much more. MyIvy also contains "QuickLinks" to the ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ websites and online tools you will use most often. Learn more about MyIvy

(5) Course Placement

Before you can register for classes you will need to submit documentation or complete an assessment test. Your test scores can help us determine the best English and math starting classes for you.ÌýSee the Test Score Course Placement Chart

If you submitted assessment documentation during the application process, your advisor will likely be able to work with those documents to determine course placement and you won't need to take any further steps. If you don't have any of those documents or the scores don't meet minimum thresholds, don’t worry! Your advisor will direct you to complete our free Knowledge AssessmentÌýto help develop your customized learning path to better prepare you for courses.Ìý

(6) Register for Classes

Once you have completed the steps above, you may register for classes. ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ students register for courses using the Schedule Builder tool which can be accessed withinÌý. If you are a new, first-time ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ student, we recommend that you meet withÌýyour advisorÌýwho will help you develop your Academic Completion Plan and help you sign up for courses that are the best fit for you.

(7) Pay Your Tuition

After registering for your courses, your bill can be viewed in yourÌýÌýaccount > Student Dashboard- > View/Pay Balance. Payments can also be made in yourÌýÌýaccount. Question: May I use GI Bill^® benefits to help pay for flight training within ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ's Professional Pilot program?

Answer: At this time, VA benefits are not eligible to be used for flight training at ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ. VA benefits may be used directly with ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ's flight training partners. ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ recommends our VA benefit eligible Veterans work with their ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ Academic Advisor to crosswalk FAA pilot Certificates and Ratings into ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ's Professional Flight degree programs. These certificates or ratings may be accepted into ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ's Associate of Applied Science degree program, for course credit, when each certificate or rating is complete.

Question: I want to use my GI Bill^® benefits through one of ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ's flight training partners. What are my next steps?

Question: May I use my Post 9/11 GI Bill^® to cover the cost of Private Pilot Flight training with Sweet Aviation or LIFT Academy?

Answer: No. Private Pilot flight training is NOT covered under the Post 9/11 GI Bill^® with either LIFT Academy or Sweet Aviation. Students who intend to use GI Bill^® funding may use that funding for flight training after receiving their FAA Private Pilot Certificate. Students are responsible for paying for flight activities to complete their Private Pilot Certificate.

Question: I already have my Private Pilot Certificate. May I be accepted into Sweet Aviation or LIFT Academy to use my Post 9/11 GI Bill^® funding for Instrument and Commercial Training?

Answer: ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ recommends interested students reach out to LIFT Academy or Sweet Aviation with the contact information above. Students with Private Pilot Certificates may be accepted into flight training through either training partner. If you already have your Private Pilot Certificate, ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ will credit your licensure into the Associate Degree program, granting nine course credit hours, through ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ's Certification Crosswalk policy.
