ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ Columbus has partnered with to provide general education courses required for an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Imaging Science degree.

Students take their pre-requisite general education courses at ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ and then apply to the Columbus Regional Hospital Medical Imaging program. Once accepted, the Medical Imaging program is a 24-month program. Students who complete the program and graduate with their AAS degree can sit for the national certifying exam.

• MATH 136 — College Algebra
• ENGL 111 — English Composition
• HLHS 101 — Medical Terminology
• COMM 101 or COMM 102 — Public Speaking or
  Interpersonal Communications
• PSYC 101 or SOCI 111 — Intro to Psychology or
  Intro to Sociology
• APHY 101 — Anatomy & Physiology 1*
• APHY 102 — Anatomy & Physiology 2*
• IVYT 101 — Student Success
• In addition, CRH requires: — Intro to Chemistry or Physics
  (at least 100-level or equivalent**)

*Online Anatomy & Physiology courses are not accepted by CRH; however, face-to-face or virtual versions taken in 2020 due to the COVID19 pandemic will be accepted.
**Two semester of high school Chemistry or two semesters of high school Physics with grades of 2.0 (C) or better will be recognized as an acceptable equivalent.

About the crh school of radiologic technology

The Columbus Regional Hospital School of Radiologic Technology, located in Columbus, is a hospital-based training program in radiologic technology. Radiologic Technology involves creating diagnostic images of the body for interpretation by a physician. Students accepted into the program attend on a full-time basis for 24 months and receive both classroom and clinical instruction. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded a certificate as well as an Associate of Applied Science in Imaging Science degree from ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ. This allows them to take the registry examination given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Passing this examination allows the graduate to seek employment as a registered radiologic technologist and to use the designation R.T(R)
