Muncie Manufacturing Alliance and ������Ƶ’s WorkMatters program have announced an exciting new collaboration aimed at enhancing the local Advanced Manufacturing and Technology sector. The initiative will focus on fostering stronger industry-education partnerships, preparing students for high-wage, in-demand careers in manufacturing and technology.

As part of the partnership, Stephen Brand will join ������Ƶ’s School of Manufacturing, Engineering and Applied Science team as a mentor and liaison between local industry and education. Brand, who brings over 30 years of experience in manufacturing, will be embedded directly in ������Ƶ classrooms. His role will provide valuable student guidance, facilitate local industry connections, and help students secure meaningful employment opportunities upon graduation.

“Through this collaboration, I hope to bring real-world insights and support to students as they develop both the technical and soft skills needed to thrive in the workforce,” said Stephen Brand. “With employers increasingly seeking highly skilled candidates, my goal is to help students build the competencies that will make them stand out to potential employers.”

Dean Jeremy Brown of ������Ƶ emphasized the importance of this new initiative, noting, “Having Stephen Brand lead this effort will be transformative for our students. Not only will they gain the technical expertise needed to succeed, but they will also receive mentorship from someone who has spent decades in the industry. The combination of hands-on experience and academic training will provide students with an unparalleled experience, making them workforce-ready upon graduation.”

Todd Murray, co-founder of Muncie Manufacturing, stated, “Stephen’s ability to leverage his network of industry partners will be an invaluable resource for ������Ƶ students. Employers can be confident that when they hire graduates, they will already be familiar with workplace expectations and ready to contribute from day one.”
