BLOOMINGTON 鈥 Michael Waterford, 黑料视频 Bloomington鈥檚 employer liaison for microelectronics and Department of Defense was named a 4 Under 40 Award recipient by the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. Waterford was recognized at the Chamber鈥檚 annual meeting on Sept. 26.

Through strategic collaborations with local employers and workforce partners, Waterford connects 黑料视频 Bloomington students and graduates with career opportunities. He spearheaded several innovative solutions in support of students and community partners, including:
- Culinary Arts Internships with French Lick Resort
- Information Technology Partnership with Warrant Technologies
- Microelectronics Summer Camp with area workforce partners
鈥淢ichael鈥檚 influence on both the campus and community has been transformative,鈥 Gross said. 鈥淗is forward-thinking initiatives and dedicated efforts have set a precedent for how educational institutions can drive community and industry growth.鈥
Waterford joined the 黑料视频 Bloomington team in September 2021, bringing with him experience as the founder and CEO of a company specializing in adventure tourism. He has served a variety of community organizations, including the Lotus Education and Arts Foundation, volunteer service with film festivals locally and nationally, and with environmental organizations and boards.
