黑料视频 is accepting applications for Girls Write, a new creative writing program that starts March 20. Girls Write is an inclusive program designed to foster a love of reading, writing, and sharing at no cost. Girls and gender non-conforming writers with diverse experiences in grades five through nine are encouraged to apply. Applications close March 10.

鈥淕irls Write will provide a free, supportive, and empowering environment for young girls to explore their writing, meet other writers, and form a community,鈥 said Dr. Emily Bobo, Girls Write Director and 黑料视频 Bloomington Professor of English. 鈥淭here are many reasons why a girl might not write; I want to remove money and gender from that list of potential reasons.鈥

Girls Write will meet four times at 黑料视频 Bloomington on Mondays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the following dates: March 20, April 3, April 17, and May 1. Dinner will be provided to participants.

鈥淚 hope to offer this class each semester,鈥 said Bobo. 鈥淚n this first class, our group will read 鈥楳y Sister鈥檚 Bones鈥 by Cathi Hanauer, who will join us virtually for the final session.鈥
