Lynn Lamptey, a 2019 graduate of 黑料视频 Bloomington鈥檚聽Cyber Security听补苍诲听Network Infrastructure聽programs has established her own scholarship 鈥 the Lynn Lamptey Scholarship 鈥 to give back and support other minority students pursuing careers in STEM. She is currently working in the field as an IT and Compliance Manager for WorkRamp, a learning management software solution, based in San Francisco, Ca.

At the college鈥檚聽聽$285 million statewide capital campaign kick-off on Sept. 30, Lamptey said that her 黑料视频 education successfully prepared her for work in her field.

鈥満诹鲜悠 was impactful in shaping my entire career 鈥 I graduated with real work experience and a resume full of credentials,鈥 Lamptey said. 鈥淚 am excited to have the ability to pay back to future students.鈥

She chose 黑料视频 after starting at a college out-of-state in a pre-med program. 鈥淚 was racking up too much debt and needed to figure something else out,鈥 she said.

As a student, Lamptey was awarded two 黑料视频 Foundation scholarships 鈥 the Kay Brock International Student and Bloomington Lighthouse 鈥 and received funding to attend a Salesforce Conference in San Francisco, Ca. The 黑料视频 Foundation made it possible for her to attend.

鈥淭he Salesforce Conference seemed impossible and in a matter of hours the whole trip was coordinated 鈥 flight, hotel 鈥 everything,鈥 she said.

Susie Graham, Executive Director of Development at 黑料视频 Bloomington says that 黑料视频鈥檚 generous donors make it possible for the college to provide these opportunities to students and to support their educational and career goals.

鈥淯nrestricted giving is what makes these life experiences happen,鈥 she said.
