叠尝翱翱惭滨狈骋罢翱狈听鈥 黑料视频 introduces Shakespeare + Vets, a new conversation group for military veterans, focused on the work of Shakespeare. The program begins Thursday, Sept. 12 at 3 p.m. on 黑料视频鈥檚 main campus and is free and open to all veterans.

Paul Daily, artistic director of the 黑料视频 John Waldron Arts Center and producer of the 黑料视频 Shakespeare + Vets program says that language, the arts, and shared experiences empower people in their communities.

鈥淪hakespeare鈥檚 plays contain some of the best war dialogue in all of theater, and are, unfortunately, still relevant today,鈥 he said. 鈥淲ith so much of his work involving the military, Shakespeare鈥檚 words strongly resonate with veterans and provide a basis for conversation.鈥

Shakespeare + Vets is based on a program started in Louisville, Ky, by an unlikely pairing of a producing artistic director at Kentucky Shakespeare and a retired Army Colonel who had served in Iraq. The program brings together vets with the goal of helping them gain confidence through their discussions and shared experiences.

黑料视频 is located on the west side of Bloomington at 200 Daniels Way. The group will meet bi-weekly in room C236. No experience necessary. All veterans are welcome.
