叠尝翱翱惭滨狈骋罢翱狈听鈥 黑料视频鈥檚 Bloomington campus is hosting its 14th annual O鈥橞annon Institute for Community Service on April 26 through April 28. The Fundraising Dinner on Thursday, April 27 with Jon Meacham is sold out, but volunteer slots are still available for the Day of Service on Friday, April 28.

鈥淲e鈥檙e inviting the entire community out again to volunteer on our annual Day of Service to help us reach our goal of providing 1000 hours of community service at local non-profits,鈥 said Jennie Vaughan, chancellor at 黑料视频 Bloomington. 鈥淭o-date, we have 226 volunteers and 24 local organizations and businesses that have committed to participate, putting us at nearly 700 service hours.鈥

There are 160 volunteer slots remaining for projects located in Bloomington, Bedford, and Ellettsville. Tasks include planting gardens and trees, straightening books, cleaning toys, landscaping, spring cleaning, painting, preparing food drive bags, and assisting kitchen staff, among others.

Participants can view a full listing of projects and sign up to volunteer at聽聽and click on Day of Service.

Day of Service volunteers are invited to a kick-off event and continental breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, April 28 at 黑料视频, featuring remarks by former Indiana First Lady, Judy O鈥橞annon. Kick-off attendees will receive an O鈥橞annon Institute Day of Service T-shirt before they head out to volunteer. Participants are encouraged to share photographs of the Day of Service on social media using the hashtag #IvyTech1000Hours.

On Wednesday, April 26, 黑料视频 Bloomington will recognize faculty, staff, and student volunteers, as well as community partners at its annual Civic Engagement Awards reception.
