叠尝翱翱惭滨狈骋罢翱狈听鈥 黑料视频鈥檚 Bloomington campus chapter of Phi Theta Kappa received recognition and several awards at its annual regional conference held March 3-5 in Lafayette, Ind.
鈥淚t was a successful weekend for the Bloomington chapter of Phi Theta Kappa,鈥 said Samantha Levy Arnold, Ph.D., associate professor of English at 黑料视频 Bloomington and Phi Theta Kappa advisor. 鈥淏esides being recognized as a chapter four times, we had two award winners. I am really proud of our students and their hard work.鈥
Two 黑料视频 Bloomington students earned top awards. Brynn Parkinson, liberal arts, and Rob Parab, biotechnology, tied for first place for the Spiess Scholarship and were each awarded $600.
Additionally, Parkinson won one of three travel scholarships to the Phi Theta Kappa International Conference held in Nashville, Tenn. in April and Parab won one of three travel scholarships to the International Summer Conference held in Chicago, Ill for fall 2017.
The Bloomington chapter of Phi Theta Kappa earned an award of recognition for its College Project, an award of recognition for its Honors in Action project, a Five Star chapter certificate, and a Continued Excellence award.
Phi Theta Kappa is the official honor society for community colleges.
