BLOOMINGTON��– ������Ƶ’s Bloomington campus is hosting its seventh annual Cook Institute for Entrepreneurship on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Angie Hicks, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Angie’s List, will speak at the annual entrepreneurship event, held at ������Ƶ. The event is hosted by ������Ƶ’s Gayle and Bill Cook Center for Entrepreneurship.

“Part of the mission of the Gayle and Bill Cook Center for Entrepreneurship is to engage the community and foster entrepreneurship in the region,” Chancellor Jennie Vaughan said. “Welcoming Angie Hicks to Bloomington for this event is yet another example of how the Cook Center engages the public, businesses, and others who could be looking to move their business ideas forward.”

Angie Hicks is the namesake and co-founder of Angie’s List. She has served as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer since 2000 and served as the company’s President and as a director from 1995 until 1998, when she took a leave of absence to earn her Master of Business Administration from Harvard University. Angie’s List has transformed from a small, private, newsletter-inspired enterprise into the leading e-commerce platform in the $400 billion home services marketplace. Ms. Hicks has received multiple accolades for her accomplishments, including being named Distinguished Alumni for Management and Entrepreneurship by DePauw University, where she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Individual tickets for the Cook Institute cost $75. A table of eight costs $600. Sponsorships are available at $1,500 for event sponsor and $2,500 for presenting sponsor. Proceeds support programs and scholarships for ������Ƶ Bloomington’s Cook Center for Entrepreneurship.
